Feijoas

I have 73 trees. They’re fruit trees and the fruit is green and delicious!

Every Friday afternoon and Saturday morning we  pick up the fruit. It takes forever to pick them up. I can only hold two of them in my hands.
Last weekend we picked lots! The next day, Sunday, we walked over to my Dad’s black Toyota truck. The truck was absolutely loaded to its limits filled with FEIJOAS!

Anyway, back to the point. Just then Dad screamed out “Get in the truck, we’re leaving!”. I jumped in the truck ready for hopefully another successful
couple of hours of selling feijoas. As we went around the bend the Coffee in a Box coffee cart came into sight. As our Dad pulled over to the curb we all said “Thank you for the ride Dad.“ and jumped out. Dad and I pulled the big white flip-up pearl table into it’s position. Then went to put the three lime green chairs down. Meanwhile, my brothers Oliver and Austin pulled down the big rugged busted sign that said
FEIJOAS
FOR SALE
$6 a bag  or
$10 for 2 bags
3kg bags’.
We all sat down and started waiting. About five minutes later a grey Mazda  drove up beside us. I got one of the bags and walked over to the car’s window. I asked “Would you like 2 bags or 1?” They nicely said to me “2 bags please.” So I gave them one and walked back over to the table and got another bag. They paid me $10 and I thanked them. This probably happened about ten more times but with cars and trucks of all different makes and colors. There were red cars, green cars, and blue cars - there was even a coal black Harley Davidson motorbike! Then a Highlander van pulled up and I asked “How many bags would you like?” and they said “6!” I nearly fainted! At the end of the 3 week feijoa season we all counted up our money and I couldn't believe my eyes we were  $1000 richer (=.
